Leicester City vs. Wolves 8/14/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

Leicester City and the Wolves face off on Saturday in their first English Premier League game of the season at King Power Stadium. These two teams faced off twice last season and it was Leicester City who won one of the games, and the other game ended in a draw. 

Leicester City has to feel a lot of confidence coming into this game after beating Manchester City in their last game in the Community Shield Final. The defense was strong in the last game giving up zero goals, and in the 89th minute, it was a penalty kick that won them the game. and there are a lot of expectations heading into this season. During the offseason, Leicester City were busy bringing in players in hopes they can return to the Champions League. Boubakary Soumare, Ryan Bertrand, and Patson Daka were brought in and all three should play key roles on this team. This is a loaded team that has goal scoring all over, and the offense is going to be important. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolverhampton Wanderers who had some big changes this offseason. Out is coach Nuno Espirito Santo who moved onto Tottenham Hotspur and the new man in charge is Bruno Lage who was in charge with Benfica. The best new for the Wolves heading into this season is that Raul Jimenez is back after a nasty head injury last season. The Wolves were also busy bringing in Francisco Trincao, Yerson Mosquera and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Coming into this game, the Wolves have been up and down during the exhibitions. In the last game against Celta Vigo the offense couldn’t get much with the attacking and that led to the 1-0 defeat. If the last few games are any indication, the offense might be an issue for the Wolves. 

Leicester City’s defense is going to lockdown, and that is going to be the difference in this game. I also don’t think their offense is going to be all that impressive, and the under will cash with ease.
