Brighton vs. Watford 8/21/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

Brighton and Watford face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Falmer Stadium. The last time these two teams faced off was in 2020 and the game ended in a draw.

Watford is a team that has some big questions mark heading into this season but the first game was quite impressive. Watford faced off with Aston Villa in the first game and although the defense wasn’t great, the offense was good, scoring three goals and that led to a victory.  Emmanuel Bonaventure opened up the scoring in the 10th minute for Watford and they never looked back as they were able to take the 3-0 lead. Watford did give up two goals late and that made the game closer, but they were still able to come away with the victory. In this game, if Watford gets the lead they can’t take their foot off the gas.

On the other side of this matchup is Brighton who opened up their season against Burnley and Brighton was able to come away with the 2-1 victory. Brighton fell behind early against Burnley giving up a goal in the second minute. Brighton was a little stagnant but in the 73rd minute Neal Maupay broke through scoring a goal. Alexis Mac Allistar continued the success putting a goal in the back of the net in the 78th minute, and that led to a 2-1 victory. Brighton put eight shots on goal and in this game it’s going to be important that they continue to push the numbers forward. 

In this game, I expect both defenses are going to lock down in this game, and that is going to lead to this game being low scoring. The under is going to cash and I will also be throwing a few dollars on the exact score of 0-0.
