Brighton and Everton face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Falmer Stadium. These two teams faced off last in April and the two teams played to a 0-0 draw.
Brighton & Hove Albion have looked good to start the season winning each of their first two games. In the first game of the season Brighton was able to beat Burnley 2-1 and in the last game against Watford, they were able to win 2-0. Shane Duffy opened up the scoring in the 10th minute and Neal Maupay added another goal in the 41st minute. Brighton had 13 shots with three of those going on goal. Brighton also had 57 percent of the possession, and in this game it’s going to be about controlling the ball again. If they can control the possession and do the most with their chances, this is a game they could win. For a team that had a lot of questions heading into the season, they have been quite impressive.
On the other side of this matchup is Everton who opened up their season with a victory over Southampton, before playing to a draw in their last game Leeds United. Everton scored three goals in the first game and added another two goals in the last game. In the last game, Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened up the scoring in the 30th minute with a penalty shot. Demarai Gray added another goal in the 50th minute. Everton had 17 shots on goal and eight shots on target. Everton only had 30 percent of the possession and if they want to get the job done in this game, they are going to need to find a way for the defense to find more success.
Everton’s defense is an issue, and it’s going to let them down again in this game. Look for Everton to score a couple of goals, they will also give up a few goals, and the over is going to cash.
