Elche CF is welcoming Sevilla to Estadio Martinez Valero in round 3 of the Spanish LaLiga. Elche is struggling a lot, and they have won only 1 of their last 7 games. Sevilla on the other hand is in good form, and they are undefeated in their last 7 games.
It will be a tough season for Elche if they don’t get their offense going, but even if they do, I don’t think it will be good enough for Elche to stay out of the relegation zone. Elche has tied their first match, but they lost against Atletico last week. Elche has had 58% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 1 corner kick, 0 big chances created, and 88% of the correct passes. After they conceded a goal in the 39th minute, Elche was defending well for the rest of the match, but they weren’t able to score a goal. Elche has lost this match 1-0. Elche is so far without a scored goal this season. Piatti is still the only injured player for Elche at this time. AS I’ve said, it will be a hard season for Elche, but with a decent defense, they might stay outside the relegation zone.
Sevilla is looking great, especially their latest signing, Erik Lamela who scored 3 goals in 2 games. Sevilla has won both of their games in LaLiga so far, and they are at the top of the standings with 6 points, 4 scored goals, and 0 conceded goals as of right now. As I’ve mentioned, Lamela is the leading goalscorer for Sevilla with 3 goals. Ocampos is the only injured player for Sevilla right now. In their last game against Getafe, Sevilla was the better team with 61% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 85% of the correct passes. This was a tough game for both teams, but Sevilla was better, and they have scored a winning goal in the 93rd minute. Sevilla was great last season, but I think they will be even better this season, and I honestly think Sevilla will be in the title run because they have a solid defense, they have improved their offense, and if they can stay consistent, I see Sevilla being close to the top of the table.
Elche has won only 1 game against Sevilla, but they haven’t won any of their last 4 games, while Sevilla hasn’t lost any of their last 7 games. Elche hasn’t won any of their last 5 home games. I just gotta go with Sevilla here simply because they are the better team and in better form.
