Liverpool vs. Chelsea 8/28/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

Liverpool and Chelsea face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Villa Park. These two teams faced off early in March and it was Chelsea that was able to come away with the 1-0 victory. 

Liverpool believes they can win the Premier League again this season, and they have looked strong to start the season. Liverpool started off the season with a 3-0 victory over Norwich City, and followed that up with a 2-0 victory over Burnley. In the last game, Liverpool opened up the scoring with Diogo Jota who scored in the 18th minute. Sadio Mane also added a goal in the 69th minute. Liverpool completely dominated that game finishing with 27 shots and nine shots on goal. Liverpool also had 67 percent of the possession. This is going to be a tougher matchup for Liverpool but it’s still going to be important that they push the numbers forward. 

On the other side of this matchup is Chelsea who have also had a strong start to their season. Chelsea opened up their season with a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace and in the last game against Arsenal Chelsea was able to win 2-0. In the last game Romelu Lukaku opened up the scoring in the 15th minute, and Reece James added a goal in the 34th minute. The most impressive part of the last game for Chelsea was their defense. Arsenal only managed three shots on goal and in this game it’s going to be important that the defense is good. 

It might not be the most impressive victory, but Liverpool is going to find a way to come away with the victory. Liverpool might not get many chances, but they will take advantage of the ones they have, and Liverpool will come away with the victory.
