Brentford and Liverpool face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Brentford Community Stadium.  

Brentford currently sits in 9th place in the standings having picked up eight points. There weren’t a whole lot of expectations with this Brentford team heading into the season but this is a team that could compete for a Europa League spot. Brentford looked really good in their last game against the Wolves winning 2-0. One problem for Brentford was Shandon Baptiste did pick up a red card and will miss this game. Brentford has scored five goals total while their defense has given up only two goals. Ivan Toney has been the best player for Brentford scoring two goals. 

On the other side of this matchup is Liverpool who currently sits in second place with 13 points. Liverpool is another team that looks like they can win the championship. In Liverpool’s last game against Crystal Palace, the offense was elite, scoring three goals. Sadio Mane opened up the goal scoring in the 43rd minute and that paced them. Liverpool has scored 12 goals on the season while only conceding one. Mohamed Salah has scored four goals, and Sade Mane has scored three goals. Liverpool’s defense has been elite, and they need to be strong again in this game.
