Manchester City and Crystal Palace face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at the City of Manchester Stadium.  When these two face off in May, it was Manchester City that won 2-0.

Manchester had a midweek game against West Ham in the EFL Cup, and the game ended in a 0-0 draw. Last Saturday, Manchester City came away with a 4-1 victory over Brighton. Phil Foden was the best player in that last game scoring two goals. Manchester City has scored 20 goals total while the defense has given up only four goals. Foden has been the top goal scorer scoring three goals and adding an assist. In this game, it’s going to be about the offense scoring early in the first half. 

On the other side of this matchup is Crystal Palace who sit in 15th place in the standings having picked up nine points. Crystal Palace has played to four straight draws, and during that stretch, they have scored six goals total. In the last game against Newcastle, they got out to the first goal in the 56th minute, but they couldn’t hold on and played to the 1-1 draw. They have scored 11 goals total while the defense has given up 14 goals. Odsonne Édouard has been the best player for Crystal Palace scoring three goals. 

Crystal Palace doesn’t have the best defense, and they are going to struggle with the defense again in this game. Look for Crystal Palace’s defense to struggle and Manchester City will score a few goals. I also think Crystal Palace can find the back of the net once or twice and the over will cash.
