Swiss defense has also been outstanding with only 2 conceded goals, and the top spot could come to a wire in this last round. In that game against Italy a few days ago, Switzerland was solid despite having a low possession, only 36%, and they have also had only 2 shots on goal, 1 corner kick, 1 big chance created, and 77% of the correct passes, but Switzerland has scored 1 goal, they defended well, and they got a point out of this game. The final score was 1-1. This game against Bulgaria is do or die for Switzerland, and even though I think they are good enough to go through the playoffs, you never know what could happen, and I think Switzerland will do everything possible to avoid that.

Bulgaria didn’t stand a chance to qualify even before the qualifications started, and of course, they didn’t qualify. Bulgaria did have some solid results in this group, but they are now in 4^th place, which is where they will most likely finish. Bulgaria’s defense has been horrible with 10 conceded goals, and their offense is simply not good enough to compensate with only 6 scored goals. Nedelev and Despodov are the leading goalscorers for Bulgaria with 2 goals each, and they will both probably be in the starting lineup. Bulgaria was playing against Ukraine in a friendly game a few days ago, and that match ended in a 1-1 draw. as I’ve mentioned, Bulgaria has had some good results in these qualifications, they have only 1 loss in their last 6 games, but this story is over for them.

Switzerland has never lost to Bulgaria, they are undefeated in these qualifications, and they need a win here with a few scored goals. Switzerland will attack, they must attack because hoping that Italy won’t beat Northern Ireland is dumb, and for that reason I see Switzerland getting a nice win at home.
