Real Sociedad is playing great on both ends, and surprisingly enough, they are at the top of the table.

In the 13^th minute, Atletico was losing 0-2, but with 2 goals from Griezmann in the first half, the score was tied to 2-2. In the second half, Griezmann has conceded a red card, and in the 78^th minute, Liverpool has scored a winning goal from the penalty spot. Suarez leads Atletico with 4 goals, while Correa added 3 goals. Llorente is now the only injured player for Atletico. As I’ve said, it’s a solid season for Atletico so far, but their defense hasn’t been as solid as it was last season, and they will need to work on that.

The only game Sociedad has lost was back in round 1 against Barcelona, ad since then, they have been outstanding. Sociedad is now on a 2-game winning streak, and they have won their last game I the Europa League. In LaLiga, Sociedad is at the top with 20 points, 12 scored goals, and only 7 conceded goals, which makes them one of the best defensive teams in the league. In that Europa League game against Sturm, Sociedad was dominant with 62% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 79% of the correct passes. It took a while, but Sociedad has finally scored a goal in the 68^th minute, and that was enough for a 0-1 win. The injury list is quite long for Sociedad, but they are used to that already. Oyarzabal has been in great form, and he has scored 6 goals so far. It’s refreshing to see some other team at the top, and I’m glad it’s Sociedad because they have been improving constantly over the last few seasons, and I hope they can keep going in the same direction.

When playing at home, Atletico hasn’t lost to Sociedad in their last 8 games and considering all the missing players Sociedad has, I don’t think Atletico will lose here either. Real Sociedad is playing too well for me to expect them to lose here, and for that reason, I will take the draw.
