The good news for Bayern is they are mostly healthy, and they have a lot of depth. Bayer has secured the next stage in the Champions League, but I have a feeling they will have a bit more competition in Bundesliga this season.

It’s absolutely that Freiburg is the only undefeated team left in Bundesliga, and I love seeing them this high on the table. Freiburg is now in 3^rd place with 22 points, 17 scored goals, and only 7 conceded goals, which makes them the best defensive team in the league. Freiburg was hosting Furth in their last Bundesliga game, and they were the better team with 51% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 77% of the correct passes. Freiburg was focused from start to finish, and they have basically had a win at halftime. Freiburg has won this game 3-1. The bad news for Freiburg right now is Sallai and Petersen are injured, and they are two of their best players. Grifo, Holer, and Jeong are the leading goalscorers for Freiburg with 3 goals each. This is a fantastic team, and they have been improving constantly over the last few seasons, but I honestly didn’t expect this blitz from them this season.

Freiburg has had very little success against Bayern, especially on the road, but they are in good form right now, they are defending well, and they have earned the right to hope for points in this game. We know Bayern is the best team in the league, we know they are scoring a lot of goals, and I think they will be the team who will beat Freiburg for the first time this season.
