Galatasaray vs. Lazio 9/16/21 UEFA Europa League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Galatasaray and Lazio face off in the first game of Group E of the Europa League on Thursday at Turk Telekom Arena. 

Galatasaray plays their soccer in the Super Lig and they currently sit in 5th place in the standings having picked up eight points in four games. Galatasaray’s last game came on Sunday against Trabzonspor and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Galatasaray was led by Emre Kirlinic who scored the two goals and allowed the team to come away with the draw. One issue at times this season for Galatasaray has been the defense and keeping the position of the ball and not just playing on the counterattack. Over the last three games, they have given up seven goals total. 

On the other side of this matchup is Lazio who currently sit in 7th place inside Serie A having picked up six points. Lazio is coming off a loss against AC Milan, but this is a team that beats up on bad teams. Two games ago against Spezia, Lazio scored six goals, and there is no doubt they will push numbers forward in this game. Ciro Immobile has been the leading scorer for Lazio so far this year putting four goals in the back of the net. In this game for Lazio, it’s going to be about the offense pushing numbers and trying to get the first goal. 

Lazio is the better team, and they are going to find a way to get the first goal in this game. Galatasaray’s defense is going to be a big problem in this game.
