Italy vs. Bulgaria 9/2/21 European World Cup Qualifications Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Italy is hosting Bulgaria at Stadio Artemio Franchi in round 4 of Group C of the World Cup Qualifications. Italy is the best team in the world right now, and they have won the Euro Cup earlier this summer, deservedly I might add. Bulgaria is just a terrible team, they haven’t won a game in a while, and there are no signs of improvement.

As I’ve mentioned, Italy has won the Euro Cup earlier this summer by beating England in the finals, and Italy is now also undefeated in their last 34 games. When we take a look at the Italian roster, we don’t see some massive superstars, instead, we see a group of great players who put their ego aside to play the best soccer for their country, and it paid off massively. In these qualifications, Italy is at the top of the table with 9 points, 6 scored goals, and 0 conceded goals. Ciro Immobile is the leading goalscorer for Italy with 2 goals, while Belotti, Berardi, Sensi, and Locatelli have each added 1 goal. You can’t help but love this Italian team, their game style, and they have deservedly won the Euro Cup. There are a few injuries in Italy, but this is a team with a lot of depth and quality, and I’m sure coach Mancini will be able to replace his missing players.

Bulgaria is in terrible form, and they haven’t won any of their last 8 games. As far as these qualifications go, Bulgaria is in 4^th place with only 1 point, 1 scored goal, and 5 conceded goals, and there is no way in hell they will qualify for the World Cup. In their last 3 games, Bulgaria has conceded 5 goals while scoring only 1 goal, and they look terrible on both ends. Despodov is the only goalscorer for Bulgaria so far. As of right now, Bulgaria has no injuries or suspensions, but that doesn’t mean anything for them. Nothing is going well for Bulgaria, their national league is a disaster, their clubs are week, and their soccer association is not doing anything to fix that. Some of the biggest names in soccer history are from Bulgaria, they used to have one of the best teams in Europe, but those days are long gone, and nowhere near coming back.

Italy hasn’t lost any of their last 4 home games against Bulgaria, and as I’ve mentioned, they haven’t lost in their last 34 games. Italy is a massive favorite here, they are in brilliant form, and they will win this game at home.
