PSG is welcoming Lille OSC to Parc des Princes in round 12 of the French Ligue 1. PSG is still at the top of the table, and honestly, I don’t see them losing this spot this season. Lille is trying to find their footing this season, but it’s just not working out for them, at least for now.

With 28 points, 24 scored goals, and 10 conceded goals, PSG is at the top of the table, and Lens is now the closes one with 7 points less. PSG is also doing a great job in the Champions League where they are in first place in their group. In a derby of Ligue 1 this past weekend, PSG was playing against Marseille, and it was a tough, tough game. PSG has had 51% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and a solid 89% of the correct passes. PSG has had a couple of canceled goals, but so did Marseille, and honestly, I think PSG got lucky in this game. I was expecting goals but have seen none. The final score was 0-0. Messi is still struggling to score in Ligue 1, but as long as he is playing well in the Champions League, PSG is happy. Mbappe is the leading goalscorer for PSG with 6 goals and 5 assists. Ramos is still injured, but he should have his debut in the next week or so. PSG has a ton of depth, and they are using it well, for now, but there will come the time when all these stars will need to step up, and we will see then what they can do.

Lille hasn’t won any of their last 3 games while winning only 1 of their last 5 games, and they are nowhere near the top of the table in Ligue 1. Lille is in low 0th place with only 15 points. As far as the Champions League goes, Lille has 2 draws and a loss, ad they still have a decent chance to advance past the group stage. The Canadian international, Jonathan David leads Lille with 7 goals, while Yilmaz added 3 goals. Jardim and Botman are injured. Lille was hosting Brest last weekend, and they were the dominant team with 63% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and 82 of the correct passes. After getting ahead in the 19th minute, Lille conceded in the 32nd minute, and that was the final score. Lille has some tough games ahead of them, and they need wins in all of their next 3 games, but it’s hard to imagine that could happen with their form and inconsistency this season.

PSG has been perfect at home so far this season, and I see it staying that way. Lille is struggling a lot, and yes, teams in a bad form tend to surprise us in a derby, but I don’t think it will happen here. I see PSG finally stepping up, scoring a few goals, and winning this game.
