RB Leipzig vs. Greuther Furth 10/23/21 Bundesliga Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Leipzig hasn’t won any of their last 3 games, including the one against PSG earlier this week. Leipzig has had only 35% of ball possession in that game, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and 81% of the correct passes. After conceding a goal in the 9^th minute, Leipzig turned this game around by the 57^th minute. Unfortunately for Leipzig, they have conceded 2 goals by the end of this game, and they lost 32. Nkunku has been Leipzig’s best player in Bundesliga and in the Champions League, and he has scored goals so far in 8 games. Halstenberg, Saracchi, Olmo, and Brobbey are all injured. Despite a barrage of terrible results, coach Marsch is still leading this team, but I don’t think he will stay for much longer.

Furth looks like a group of players picked up o a schoolyard, but I think even they would be better. Terrible defense, useless offense, and zero progress after 8 games are not what you would expect from a Bundesliga team. Furth was promoted before this season, but they will also get relegated after this season. in their last game against Bochum at home, Furth was actually decent with 56% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 72% of the correct passes. As I’ve mentioned, useless offense, and even worse defense, and Furth has lost this game 0-1. Yes, Furth has injuries, but even with all those players back, I don’t think the result would have been much different. Hrgota has scored 2 goals for Furth so far this season, while Tilmann added 2 assists. It’s over before it started for Furth, at least I think so, but who knows, the season is long, and maybe a miracle happens to Furth.

Furth has never beaten Leipzig in the past, and I don’t think they will start now. Furth hasn’t won any of their last 13 games, they have lost their last 6 in a row, ad while Leipzig is struggling, I think they will get a win here.
