Sweden is welcoming Spain Friends Arena in round 4 of Group B of the World Cup Qualifications. Sweden is a good team, they are in solid form, and I think they will have a good game here. Spain has had a solid Euro Cup, but they got knocked out by Italy in the semifinals.

As I’ve mentioned, Sweden is in good form, they have lost only 1 of their last 9 games, and that was in the Euro Cup knockouts against Ukraine. As far as these qualifications go, Sweden is in 2nd place with 6 points, 4 scored goals, and still with 0 conceded goals. Sweden is a good team with a lot of quality on both ends, and they are a team that is playing strong defense, as we witnessed at the Euro Cup. As far as their offense goes, Sweden has Isak, Forsberg, Quaison, and Larsson, but they also have Kulusevski in the midfield, and he is a dangerous player. Augustinsson, Larsson, Claesson, and Isak have each scored 1 goal for Sweden so far in these qualifications. Sweden is constantly improving, and they are incredibly hard to beat, and I also think they will qualify for the World Cup.

In the Euro Cup, Spain started slowly, they were creating chances, but they couldn’t score goals. In the last round of the group stage, Spain needed a win, and they got it by beating Slovakia 5-0. In the knockouts, Spain has beaten Croatia after the penalty shootout, Switzerland after overtime, but they lost to Italy in the semifinals. With 7 points, Spain is at the top of their group in these qualifications, they have scored 6 goals while conceding 3 goals. Torres and Olmo are the leading goalscorers with 2 goals each for Spain in these qualifications, while Moreno and Morata added 1 goal each. Few players are missing for Spain for this cycle, and those are Olmo, Pedri, and Oyarzabal, all of which were playing in the Olympics for Spain. There is still a lot of quality and depth in this Spanish team, they are certainly capable of scoring goals, but the question is if they can convert some of those chances into goals.

Sweden has won 5 home games in a row, and they are in good shape at home. Spain is the favorite here, they will be in control, but we know that Sweden is playing great defense. I’m looking at a draw here.
