Villarreal is still trying to find some consistency this season, but this time on the defensive end.

Offensively, Valencia is doing a good job, and they have scored 16 goals so far, but their defense must improve fast because they have conceded 17 goals so far. Soler and Guedes have each scored 3 goals for Valencia this season, while they both added 2 assists each. The injury list in Valencia is getting smaller, and that should have a positive impact on their game. Valencia was playing against Betis in their last game, and they were the weaker team with 39% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and only 64% of the correct passes. Valencia has had a horrible game, and even though they have scored a goal here, it didn’t have an impact on the final result, which was 4-1 in favor of Betis. There are some good signs in Valencia’s game, and I think they will bounce back soon, but I still don’t see them getting into the top 5 in LaLiga.

Villarreal is one of the better teams in LaLiga if you ask me, but they just can’t get out of this hole they are in. Villarreal has won only 1 of their last 4 games, while not winning any of their last two, not even against Cadiz earlier this week. Villarreal has had 78% of ball possession in that game, 5 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and a solid 87% of the correct passes. After they conceded a goal in the 14^th minute, Villarreal has had 2 canceled goals in 3 minutes, but they were able to tie the score in the 43^rd minute. Cadiz has scored another goal in the 46^th minute, and one more in the 52^nd minute. Luckily for Villarreal, they are such a good team in the attacking end, and with 2 late goals, they were able to get a point out of this game. The final score was 3-3. Danjuma has been playing in excellent form, and he has scored 5 goals for Villarreal, and he will need to keep it up for a while because Villarreal will need him to. There are no more injuries in Villarreal, and hopefully, now, Villarreal can get more consistent.

This is going to be a great game, but I have been backing Villarreal for a while, but it stops now. This is the game that reeks of goals, and I will take it.
