AC Milan vs. Roma 1/6/22 Serie A Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

AC Milan is hosting Roma at San Siro in round 20 of the Italian Serie A. Milan is still Chasing Inter in Serie A, and they are only 4 points behind at the moment. Roma is trying to get back in the Champions League spot, but they are not very consistent this season.

Milan has gone to winter break with a win, and that was against Empoli on the road, but they haven’t won any of their 2 games before that. Offensively, Milan is one of the best teams in the league this season with 40 scored goals, but their defense got a bit sloppy as of late. Milan has conceded 22 goals so far. There are a few players in Milan who went to the African Cup of Nations, and they will be gone for a while. Ibrahimovic is the leading goalscorer for Milan with 7 goals, while Kessie who is missing added 5 goals. Hernandez has added 5 assists. Milan is a solid team, they can beat anyone, but we will see how they will handle missing some of their best players, and if this winter break was good for them or not.

Roma is now on a 4-game streak without a loss, while they won 3 of those 4 games. Roma has also advanced to the next stage of the Conference League, but it’s still unknown who they will play against. As far as Serie A goes, Roma is now in 6^th place, which is the Conference League spot, but they are only 2 points away from the Europa League, and 6 points away from the Champions League. I think Roma is good enough to reach the Champions League, but they will need to become more consistent on both ends to get there. Roma also has a few injuries and missing players, but there is still enough quality left in this team. Abraham is leading Roma with 6 goals, but he is questionable for this game. Pellegrini and Veretout have each added 4 assists. I like Roma, I think they are improving with every season, but they always seem to be missing something, and I’m not sure if they have it this season also.

Roma was in the better form before the break, but Milan is the better team overall. I will avoid betting on the winner here because this could go either way, but I do like goals in this one. I think this will be a fun game, and I think we will see goals.
