Burnley and Leicester City face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at the Turf Moor. When these two teams faced off in September of 2021 the two teams played to a 2-2 draw. Jamie Vardy scored both of the goals for Leicester City in that game. 

Burnley comes into this game sitting in 18th place in the standings having picked up 11 points. Burnley has struggled this season and across all contests they have lost three games in a row. In the last game in the FA Cup they were  defeated 2-1 against Huddersfield. Burnley has scored 16 goals total while their defense has given up 27 goals. Maxwel Cornet has been the top player for Burnley scoring six goals. In this game if Burnley wants a chance to win they are going to need the defense to be good. 

On the other side of this matchup is Leicester City who sit in 10th place in the standings having picked up 25 points.  Leicester City has been banged up this season but they need to get hot if they want to climb into the top eight. The last game in the English Premier League came against Liverpool, and they were able to win 1-0. In the last game in the FA Cup, Leicester was able to beat Watford 4-1. Leicester CIty has scored 31 goals total while their defense has given up 33 goals total. James Maddison is having a big year scoring five goals and adding three assists. Youri Tielemans has scored five goals and added two assists. 

Leicester City is going to find offensive success like they did against Watford, and this game is going to be an ugly one for Burnley. I don’t see Burnley getting on the board, and Leicester City will win this game on the money line.
