Borussia is trying to catch up to Bayern, they are on a 2-game winning streak in Bundesliga, but they got knocked out of the DFB Pokal earlier this week.

After losing to Union Berlin in Bundesliga last weekend, Hoffenheim was hosting Freiburg in the DFB Pokal, and they also lost 1-4, which means they got knocked out. Despite those 2 losses, Hoffenheim has a lot to be happy about, especially because they are playing well, and they are in 4^th place in the standings. Hoffenheim now has to look forward, and they need to try and bounce back, and I think they have what it takes to do so. Bebou is still the leading goalscorer for Hoffenheim with 7 goals, while Kramaric has added 7 assists. There are some injuries in Hoffenheim, but those players have been absent for a while. Offensively, Hoffenheim is doing really well, they are scoring a lot of goals, but it wouldn’t hurt them if they worked a bit on their defense because they are conceding too much.

As I’ve mentioned, Borussia Dortmund got knocked out of the DFB Pokal by St. Pauli, but their main focus was on Bundesliga anyways. Sure, it’s not nice to get knocked out by Bundesliga 2 team, but what can you do. Haaland is still the leading goalscorer for Borussia with 15 goals, while Brandt added 5 goals. Haaland and Brandt both have also added 6 assists. The injury list I long for Borussia, but all of their key players are healthy and ready for this game. Borussia is still in second place, and there is no one behind them trying to catch up, but Bayern is very close to Borussia, only 6 points ahead. Offensively, Borussia is the second-best offensive team in the league, but the problem is their defense is not as good as Bayern’s and that might cost them the title this season. I think this is a good spot for Borussia, they are on a winning streak in Bundesliga, and they are healthy and ready to pounce.

Hoffenheim has lost only 1 home game so far this season, and they have lost to Borussia in the reverse fixture of this matchup this season. I think this will be a fun game where Borussia will certainly go for the win, but I will stick to goals.
