Arsenal and Burnley face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Emirates  Stadium. When these two teams faced off in September of 2021 it was Arsenal that won 1-0.

Arsenal comes into this game sitting in 7th place in the standings having picked up 35 points. Arsenal’s last Premier League game came on January 1st but they have played three games since then, although they didn’t win any of those games. The last game came against Liverpool, and the defense gave up two goals on the way to the defeat. Arsenal has scored 33 goals while their defense has given up 25 goals. Emile Smith-Rowe has been the top player for Arsenal scoring eight goals and adding two assists. Bukaya Sako has also been strong, scoring six goals and adding another four assists.

On the other side of this matchup is Burnley who sits in 20th place in the standings having picked up 11 points. Burnley has lost their last three games overall including the last two games inside the Premier League. The last game came against Leeds United and the defense wasn’t good in that game giving up three goals, and that led to the defeat. Maxwel Cornet did score a goal in the 54th minute, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated. Burnley has scored 16 goals total while their defense has given up 27 goals. Cornet has been the top player so far this season scoring six goals.

I really don’t trust this Arsenal team and I think Burnley can find a way to get a few goals on them. Arsenal’s offense has also been inconsistent and they are going to have issues finding the back of the net. It might not be a very popular play, but Burnley is going to find a way to win this game.
