Real Marid vs. PSG 3/9/22 UEFA Champions League Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Real Marid is welcoming PSG to Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg of Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid is now in good form, they have won their LaLiga game this past weekend, and they seem to be back to scoring goals. PSG on the other hand has lost their game this past weekend, and even though they have an advantage from the first leg, they will need to play extremely well here.

Real Madrid is now on a 3-game winning streak, they have scored 8 goals in those 3 games, while they have conceded only 1 goal. In LaLiga, Real Madrid is at the top, and they are playing well enough to keep that spot for a while longer. In the first leg of this matchup, Real Madrid didn’t show up, but luckily for them, PSG didn’t take advantage of that, and Real has lost only 1-0. Benzema is the leading goalscorer for Real with 5 goals in the Champions League. Vinicius has added 2 goals and 3 assists. Casemiro and Mendy are both suspended because of the yellow cards, and that is a huge blow for Real Madrid. As I’ve mentioned, Real is in excellent form right now, they are scoring a lot, and their defense is playing really well, but they still need to play catch up in this game.

PSG has lost 2 of their last 3 games, and they are not playing well at all, on either end. Yes, Neymar is healthy, but he has been useless since he got back, and if Mbappe doesn’t lead this team, they will fall apart. Messi and Mbappe have each scored 5 goals in the Champions League so far this season, while Mbappe has also added 4 assists. There was a concern Mbappe will miss this game because of an injury, but he will be ready for this matchup. Hakimi is injured though, and he will miss this game. PSG is at the top of the Ligue 1, and a miracle would need to happen for them not to win it, but the Champions League is a different story. PSG has the advantage from the first leg, but it’s only a 1-0 advantage, and they will have a hard time defending that lead. With the offensive firepower PSG has, we can never write them off, but their form is horrible right now.

When playing at home, Real has not lost to PSG in their last 3 games, and Real has won their last 3 home games in a row. Real Madrid doesn’t have to attack from the start, but if they don’t score early, they will be in danger of conceding. I think Real Madrid is in better form right now, and I think they will get the home win.
