Monaco is welcoming Braga to Stade Louis II in the second leg of the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League. Monaco is not in good form, they haven’t been winning many games, and it seems they have made a coaching change for nothing. Braga is one of the top teams in Portugal, they are in a pretty decent form, and they are coming into this game with a nice advantage from the first leg.

Monaco has only 1 win in their last 7 games, and that was against Marseille in the Ligue 1. Some time ago, Monaco has fired coach Kovac because they felt the team is not performing well enough, but the coach they have put in charge hasn’t done absolutely anything, and this team is worse than they have been over the last 2 seasons. In Ligue 1, Monaco is now in 8th place, they will not be reaching the Champions League, and it seems this might be the end of the road for them in the Europa League as well. Volland is the leading goalscorer for Monaco with 2 goals, while Golovin and Henrique have added 2 assists. Monaco will need a lot more than just luck in this game, despite playing at home, and I’, not sure they have what it takes.

Braga has lost their last game, but that is their only loss in their last 6 games. In the Primeira Liga. Braga is now in 4th place, which is the spot that leads into the Conference League qualifications, and I think that this is their maximum this season. in the Europa League group stage, Braga has ended in 2nd place, which wasn’t bad, and they have done really well in the first leg of this game. So far, Galeno has scored 6 goals for Braga in the Europa League, while Horta has added 4 goals and 4 assists. Sequeira and Gorby are both injured, and they will miss this game. In that first leg match, Braga hasn’t had a lot of possession, but they did have a lot of shots on goal, and they should have scored a few more goals to be a bit safer in this game. I don’t expect anything to change in this game, and I think Braga will sit back a bit, I just hope it doesn’t end up costing them in the end.

Monaco has never beaten Braga and considering their form, I’m not sure they will start now. Braga is a solid team in good form, but I think they will concede at least one goal here, if not more. Monaco will attack, and that will leave them wide open to Braga’s attacks.
