Barcelona and Sevilla are clashing at Camp Nou in round 30 of the Spanish LaLiga. Barcelona has been on fire, they are in 4th place now, but they are very close to 3rd. Sevilla is trying to keep up with Real Madrid, but I don’t think they have enough offense to catch up.

Barcelona is now on a 3-game winning streak, and they have destroyed Real Madrid in their last game in LaLiga. In the Europa League, Barcelona will be playing against Eintracht Frankfurt next week. Offensively, Barcelona is picking up the pace, and they have now scored 56 goals, while their defense has also improved a lot lately. Barcelona has conceded 29 goals so far this season. the signings Barcelona has made in January have had a massive impact on their game, and Aubameyang has scored 7 goals in 7 games so far. Depay is still the leading goalscorer for Barcelona with 10 goals. Dembele has added 9 assists. There are quite a few injuries in Barcelona at the moment, but for the first time in a while, they have enough depth to counter that. Barcelona is the biggest favorite to win the Europa League now, and I hope they do it.

Sevilla has been pretty consistent throughout the entire season, but they haven’t won any of their last 3 games, and they got knocked out of the Europa League against West Ham. In their last LaLiga game, Sevilla has tied with Real Sociedad at home. As I’ve mentioned, Sevilla is in 2nd place with 57 points, they are the best defensive team in the league, but their offense has cooled off. Rafa Mir is the leading goalscorer for Sevilla with 8 goals, while Ocampos has added 5 goals. There will be a lot of missing players for Sevilla in this game, and that will make their offense even weaker than it is now. Since Sevilla is out of every other competition, they can focus solely on LaLiga, but since their offense is not producing much, they will not catch up to Real Madrid, and they will also have a hard time defending that second spot. The schedule is decent for Sevilla, and they will win some points, but it might now be enough.

When playing at home, Barcelona hasn’t lost to Sevilla in their last 16 games. Sevilla has been solid on the road so far this season, but I don’t think they will have much success here. I’m going with Barcelona.
