Albania vs. Iceland 9/27/22 Nations League Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Albania and Iceland face off on Tuesday in a League B Group 2 UEFA Nations League showdown at Air Albania Stadium. When these two teams faced off on June 6th, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw. 

Iceland currently sits in second place in the group, having picked up three points. Last Thursday, Iceland faced off against Venezuela, and they were able to secure the 1-0 victory. The only goal came by penalty, and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. The good news for Iceland heading into this game is they had an extra two days of rest and that should help some of the injury concerns. Captain Aron Gunnarsson is expected to play for the 99th team with the international team. 

On the other side of this matchup is Albania, who sits in 3rd place in the standings having picked up one point. Albania in the last game faced off against Isreal and the game ended in a 2-1 defeat. They played decent, but they gave up a goal in the 92nd minute and that led to the defeat. Albania had four shots on goal and 48 percent of the possession, but it wasn’t enough, as they were defeated by a goal. Albania is super banged up heading into this game, and they will be without Endri Cekici and Keidi Bare, who are both hurt. In this game, they need to try to push the numbers forward and try to score the first goal. If they can do that, they will have a great chance to secure the win. 

There isn’t a lot for each team to play for in this game, and there are better games across the board to bet. In this game, I expect the extra days of rest for Iceland to give them the advantage here. Iceland is going to score a couple of goals, and Albania is going to have no answer.
