Atletico Madrid vs. Celta Vigo 2/26/22 LaLiga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo are clashing at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in round 26 of the Spanish LaLiga. Atletico was playing well in the Champions League earlier this week, but I’m still not convinced they are good enough this season to do something. Celta is on a nice roll right now, they have been scoring more, and they have been winning some points lately.

Despite playing badly for pretty much the entire season, Atletico is now undefeated in their last 2 games. In that game against United, Atletico has had a lot of shots, but only 1 on goal, and they scored from it. Unfortunately, Atletico failed to win in that match, and it ended in a 1-1 draw. in LaLiga, Atletico is no longer in the top 4, and they are now in 5^th place with 42 points. Of the 45 goals Atletico has scored this season, Correa has scored 11, while Suarez has added 9 goals. Since they are far away from the title, and they won’t get closer if you ask me, Atletico is focusing on the Champions League, and they are certainly good enough to win against United on the road.

As I’ve mentioned, Celta is playing well right now, they are undefeated in their last 5 games, but they have won only 2 of those 5 games. The good news for Celta is they have been scoring pretty consistently this season, and they have also improved their defense as of late. Celta is now in 9^th place with 32 points, they have scored 39 goals, which is not a lot, to be honest, but they have conceded only 26 goals. Aspas is the leading goalscorer for Celta with 11 goals and 3 assists, while Santi Mina has added 7 goals. There are a few tough games for Celta ahead, they are playing against Atletico, Villarreal, Betis, and Real Madrid, but since their form is solid, they can expect some points. Overall, I think Celta is in a good situation this season, they will be far away from the relegation zone and think they are happy with how it is going.

Celta hasn’t been the greatest team on the road this season, but against this Atletico Madrid, they can get a win. Atletico has played in the Champions League, they might be a bit tired, but I certainly think they can score a goal here.
