Atletico Madrid vs. Deportivo Alaves 4/2/22 LaLiga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Atletico Madrid is welcoming Deportivo Alaves to Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in round 30 of the Spanish LaLiga. Atletico has improved massively over the last month or so, and they have knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League. Alaves is a very weak team overall this season, and they are even weaker on the road.

Atletico Madrid is now on a 5-game winning streak, while winning 6 of their last 7, and not losing any of their last 7 games. As I’ve mentioned, Atletico has knocked out United from the Champions League, and they will now face Manchester City in the quarterfinals. As far as LaLiga goes, Atletico is in 4^th place with 54 points, which is the same amount as Barcelona has in 3^rd. Atletico’s defense has been garbage this season, but fortunately for them, their offense has been outstanding with 53 scored goals. Correa has scored 11 goals for Atletico, Suarez has added 9 goals, but the player that was playing his best soccer at Atletico is Joao Felix who has 6 goals and 4 assists so far this season. We’ve established Atletico’s defense is bad this season, but they will need to get the best of it against Manchester City next week, and they need to start improving in this game against Alaves.

Deportivo Alaves is the bottom team in LaLiga, and even though they have the quality to do a bit better, they are just not interested. Alaves hasn’t won any of their last 6 games while losing their last 3 games straight. With 22 points, Alaves is now in 19^th place, which is 5 points away from the safe zone, and seeing how things are going for Alaves, it will be almost impossible for them to get out. Deportivo Alaves has scored only 23 goals so far this season, while they have conceded 48 goals in 29 games. Joselu is pretty much the only bright spot in Alaves with 12 scored goals. Last season, Alaves has barely stayed in the league, but I have a feeling they will not be so lucky this season, and there is nothing they can do about it.

Alaves has won only 1 game on the road so far this season, they haven’t won any of their last 6 games, and they haven’t beaten Atletico in their last 6 games on the road. Everything is pointing to Atletico at home, and despite them playing in the Champions League next week, I see them winning this game.
