Brentford and Leeds United face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Gtech Community Stadium. When these two teams faced off on May 22nd, it was Leeds United that secured the 2-1 victory.

Leeds United currently sits in seventh place in the standings, having picked up eight points this season. Leeds has to feel very good about where they are at this point of the season, and in the last game they played to a 1-1 draw against Everton. Luis Sinisterra scored a goal in the 55th minute to make the game 1-1, and that’s how it ended. Leeds had 70 percent of the possession and five shots on goal. Leeds United are banged up heading into this game and are missing guys like Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling. Leeds United is going to need the defense to be good here and put pressure on Brentford.

On the other side of this matchup is Brentford who currently sits in 11th place in the standings having picked up six points. Brentford’s last game against Crystal Palace was a competitive one, and the game ended with a 1-1 draw. Yoane Wissa scored a goal in the 88th minute to steal the point. Brentford has scored 10 goals this season, while their defense has given up seven goals. Ivan Toney is having a strong season for Brentford scoring two goals and adding another two assists. Brentford signed Edson Pruti and Charlie Farr this week, but it’s unclear if they will be ready to go for this game.

Both of these teams have been a bit inconsistent this season, and there are other games across the slate that have a more clear winner. The last game for Brentford was a 1-1 draw, and they had to fight to even get that one goal. I expect they are going to struggle to score in this game, and that is going to be the difference, as this game is lower scoring. There will be two or fewer goals scored, and the under 2.5 will cash.
