Copenhagen vs. Sevilla 9/14/22 UEFA Champions League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

Copenhagen and Sevilla face off on Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League Group G showdown at Parken. 

Copenhagen comes into this game sitting in 3rd place in the standings, having picked up zero points. Copenhagen faced off against Dortmund in the first game and the defense really struggled, giving up three goals. Copenhagen only had 37 percent of the possession and only two shots on target. In the last game, Copenhagen faced off against OB, and they were defeated 2-1. Copenhagen is a little banged up heading into this game, and they will be without Kamil Grabara and Akinkunmi Amoo who are both dealing with injuries. Mohamed Daramy and Denis Vavro are also expected to move into the starting lineup. In this game, if Copenhagen wants to secure the victory, they are going to need the defense to be good.

Sevilla currently sits in 3rd place in the standings, having picked up zero points. Sevilla faced off against Manchester City and the defense really struggled in that game, giving up four goals and that led to the defeat. Sevilla only had 38 percent of the possession and one shot on goal. They aren’t facing as good of offense in this game, but the defense needs to be better. On Saturday, Sevilla faced off against Espanyol, and they were able to secure a 3-2 victory. Jesus Manuel Corona and Marcao are both still dealing with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game. Papu Gomez is expected to come back, though, and they are going to need him to have a big game here. 

Copenhagen looked awful in the last game against Dortmund, and although Sevilla struggled against Manchester City, they are still the more talented team here. I expect Sevilla to put the pressure on Copenhagen’s defense and that is going to be the difference as they are going to get the job done here. Back Sevilla on the money line.
