Crystal Palace and Southampton face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Selhurst Park Stadium. When these two teams faced off on April 30th it was Crystal Palace that secured the 2-1 victory.

Crystal Palace comes into this game sitting in 13th place in the standings, having picked up 13 points. In the last game against Everton, Crystal Palace gave up three goals and that led to the defeat. Crystal Palace had 55 percent of the possession and two shots on target. Two games ago, against the Wolves, Crystal Palace secured a 2-1 victory. Cheick Doucoure is back from suspension, and it’s expected that he will be able to go in this game. Nathaniel Clyne and Chris Richards are both still hurt, and they aren’t expected to be able to go in this game. In this game, Crystal Palace needs to get the offense going here early.

Southampton comes into this game sitting in 16th place in the standings having picked up 12 points. Southampton has picked up a point in each of the last three games, and over the last three games, they have scored only three goals total. In the last game against Arsenal, Southampton got a goal from Stuart Armstrong in the 65th minute that tied the game. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to be back for the club, and he is going to need to have a big game here. Armel Bella-Kotchap is dealing with an ankle injury, but he is expected to be able to go in this game.

Southampton is a terrible team on the road, and I don’t think that is going to change at all here. Look for Crystal Palace to score a couple of goals here, and that is going to be the difference here. I expect that goal-scoring to happen early, and Southampton just won’t have an answer. Back Crystal Palace on the money line.
