Deportivo Alaves is hosting Sevilla at Estadio de Mendizorroza in round 27 of the Spanish LaLiga. Deportivo is still fighting for their lives in LaLiga, and they will keep fighting until the end of the season. Sevilla is still playing catch-up with Real Madrid, and I still they are good enough to take the title away from them.

Alaves has been hot and cold as of late, which is honestly an improvement considering they have been pretty much horrible for most of the season. with 21 points, Alaves is now in 19th place, which is in the relegation zone, and the first safe place is 4 points away from them. Alaves’ offense and defense are not good, and they have scored only 21 goals while conceding 44 goals, which makes them one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Of the 21 goals Alaves has scored, Joselu has scored 12, and he is the only bright spot on this team. There are no injuries in Alaves, but Loum is suspended because of the yellow cards. Alaves still has time to get out of the relegation zone, but they need to gain some consistency, which is hard to do for a team like Alaves.

Sevilla is still 6 points behind Real Madrid, but considering Real Madrid is playing in the Champions League next week, this could be the chance Sevilla was waiting for to get a bit close. With only 18 conceded goals, Sevilla is the best defensive team in the league, while offensively, Sevilla is also doing pretty well with 39 scored goals in 26 games. In the Europa League, Sevilla is playing against West Ham next week, but there is enough time for them to rest up, and to take this game against Alaves seriously. Sevilla is also getting quite a few players back from the injury list for this game, and that will certainly help them with the depth. Lamela is now the only injured player left for Sevilla. Rafa Mir leads Sevilla with 8 scored goals, while Ocampos has added 5 goals. This Sevilla team finally looks good enough to win the title, especially because Barcelona and Atletico have been struggling for the bigger part of the season. Sevilla has a solid defense, they are great in the midfield, but they could use a bit more goals, but still an excellent team.

Alaves used to be great, and they did have some solid results this season, but this is going to be a very hard game for them. Sevilla is the better team here, on both ends, and we are getting them for plus money. I’m taking Sevilla.
