Granted, Hertha has had a tough opponent in the last round of the season, and they needed a positive result, but Hertha lost to Borussia Dortmund. Hertha was not a great offensive team this season, they barely had any offense, but they almost pulled it off. These playoffs are always tricky, and there are 2 legs, but Hertha is not a good form, they are not a good team, and they will need to step up if they want to stay in Bundesliga.

Hamburger has stepped up their game just in time to climb to that 3^rd place, and with a 4-game winning streak, they were able to do it. Hamburger ended the season in 3^rd place with 60 points, they scored a solid 67 goals, and their defense was the best of all the top teams with only 35 conceded goals in 34 games. Glatzel has been in amazing form this season with 22 scored goals, while Kittel added 12 assists. Hamburger has been trying to get back into Bundesliga for a few seasons now, and this is the perfect chance for them because Hertha is not that much better. Hertha is in amazing form, they have scored 13 goals in their last 4 games, but a bit of bad news is they have been conceding goals quite consistently. Hamburger is a solid team, they are one of the most iconic teams in Germany, but they have a couple of games left to get back to the Bundesliga.

I think we could expect a bit of a tactical battle here, but I give the advantage to Hamburger. Hertha doesn’t have a lot of offense, and their defense is not great, and despite playing at home here, I’m not sure Hertha can get the win.
