Inter vs. Juventus 1/12/21 Italian Super Cup Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Inter is hosting Juventus at Giuseppe Meazza in the finals of the Italian Super Cup. Inter is playing really well, they are at the top of the table, and they are scoring a lot of goals. Juventus was in solid form, and they have had a nice comeback against Roma this past weekend, but they are still far from the top in Serie A.

Inter is once again on a winning streak, this time a 4-game winning streak. In these 4 games, Inter has scored 12 goals while conceding only 1, and they are still at the top of the Serie A table. Inter has gotten to the Italian Super Cup by winning Serie A last season, and this is their chance to grab another trophy. Offensively, Inter is dominating the league with 51 scored goals, but their defense has also been pretty solid with 16 conceded goals in 20 games. There aren’t any notable injuries or suspensions in Inter as of right now. This past weekend, Inter was hosting Lazio in Serie A, and they have won that match 2-1. I don’t think coach Inzaghi will rest any of his players in this game because the trophy is on the line, and they are playing one of the biggest teams in Italy for it.

Juventus was playing against Roma this past weekend, on the road. At halftime, the score was 1-1, but Roma has scored 2 goals in the second half, and everything seemed lost for Juventus. in the last 20 minutes of this game, Juventus has really stepped up, they have scored 3 goals, and they ended up winning this game 3-4, but only because their goalkeeper saved a penalty in the 83^rd minute. As far as this competition goes, Juventus has gotten here by winning the Coppa Italia last season. in the Serie A standings, Juventus is now in 5^th place with 38 points, 32 scored goals, and 21 conceded goals. That game against Roma was probably the best game Juventus has had this season, and it doesn’t happen often for them to score more than 1-2 goals. Juventus has a couple of notable injuries, and those are Bonucci, ad Chiesa who tore his ACL in that game against Roma. Sandro and Ramsey are also missing. Sczesny, Cuadrado, and De Ligt are all suspended from this competition, and that is another big blow for Juventus. I think Juventus is slowly improving, but not enough to be a threat to Inter in this game.

This is one of the biggest games in Italy, probably the biggest game. Inter is a much better team, they are in much better form, and they are better defensively. I think Juventus could score here, but I see Inter getting the win.
