Juventus and Villarreal are clashing at Allianz Stadium in the second leg of the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League. Juventus is in great form right now, they are fighting for the title in Serie A, and they are at home in this game. Villarreal is also playing well, they are excellent defensively, and they will certainly not give up in this game.

The first leg of this matchup has ended in a 1-1 draw, which was good for Juventus, but the job is not done. Juventus hasn’t lost any of their last 12 games, which is an amazing run considering they were struggling a lot for a big part of the season. in their last 4 games, Juventus has scored 8 goals, while they have conceded 3 goals, but they were able to keep a couple of clean sheets. Dybala is still the leading goalscorer for Juventus in the Champions League with 3 goals, while Vlahovic has 1 goal, and he is the player to watch in this game. Bernardeschi has added 3 assists. McKennie, Jorge, Zakaria, Bonucci, and Chiesa are all injured. Juventus has improved a lot, and they will continue to do so because they have everything they need now to make an impact in Serie A and possibly in the Champions League.

Villarreal is a tough team to beat, they will never give up, and their defense is really good. After losing to Osasuna last week, Villarreal has bounced back against Celta Vigo this past weekend with a nice 1-0 win at home. I mentioned Villarreal’s defense, but their offense is also doing a great job, especially when Moreno is playing, and he should be playing in this game. Danjuma has scored 4 goals for Villarreal so far in the Champions League, while Capoue has added 2 goals and 2 assists. Moreno has 3 assists and a goal so far. In LaLiga, Villarreal is now in 7th place, and they are knocking on the Europa League door, but they are more focused on this Champions League game first, which I think they are good enough to win. Villarreal deserved more than the draw in the first leg, but even though they are on the road here, I think they can get a positive result and advance to the next stage.

Juventus has never beaten Villarreal in the past, and this will be a hard task to accomplish. Both teams are in great form, especially Juventus, but they tend to choke when it matters the most, and I’m afraid the same might happen here.
