Kazakhstan and Belarus face off on Thursday in a League C Group 3 in the UEFA Nations League at Astana Arena. When these two teams faced off on June 10th the two teams played to a 1-1 draw. 

Kazakhstan currently sits in 1st place in the standings, having picked up 10 points. Their last game came on June 13th in the Nations League, and they were able to beat Slovakia 2-1. They only had 30 percent of the possession and were out shot 5-3, but they scored two gals and that’s all that mattered as they secured the win. Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov is back with the team, and it’s expected that he will get the start in this game. The rest of the team is expected to be similar to the team that beat Slovakia 2-1. In the last game, they played with fire a little, and it’s going to be important that they have better possession of the ball. 

On the other side of this matchup is Belarus who sit in 4th place in the standings having picked up two points. The last game for Belarus came against Azerbaijan on June 13th, and the defense struggled, giving up two goals and that led to the defeat. They had 47 percent of the possession and three shots on target, but it wasn’t enough. In this game, Yegor Bogomolsky is expected to get the start instead of Ivan Bakhar. Pavel Savitskiy is also expected to get the start here, and he should be a key addition for this team. 

Kazakhstan is the better team and even though the last time the final score was 1-1 between these two teams, this game is going to be different. Belarus is not a good offensive team, and they aren’t going to find the back of the net in this game. Look for Kazakhstan to score at least two goals, and this game is going to be an easy victory.
