Liverpool and Manchester City faced off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Anfield. When these two teams faced off on July 30th it was Liverpool that came away with the 3-1 victory.

Liverpool comes into this game sitting in 11th place in the standings having picked up 10 points. Liverpool has been one of the most disappointing teams in all of the Premier League, and they are coming off another loss in the last game. Liverpool’s defense gave up three goals to Arsenal, and that led to the one-point defeat. Liverpool had 56 percent of the possession, but only three shots on target. Arthur Melo, Luis Diaz, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlaint are all still dealing with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Manchester City, who sits in second place in the standings having picked up 23 points. Man City has had a strong start to the season and hopes a slip up from Arsenal can propel them to the top of the table if they continue to win. In the last game against Southampton, Manchester City scored four goals and that led to an easy victory. Man City finished with eight shots and 66 percent of the possession. John Stones, Kalvin Phillips, and Kyle Walker are all dealing with injuries and should be back soon, but they won’t be able to go in this game.

When these two teams face off, the over has been a strong play, and that will be the case again here. Manchester City is going to run up the score here, but Liverpool will also add a goal or two, and that is going to be the difference here. Look for A 3-1 or 3-2 type of game, and the over will cash. Back the over 3.5 goals.
