Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are clashing at Etihad Stadium in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. Manchester City is one of the best teams in Europe, they are playing well on both ends, and they could stomp over anyone who steps in front of them. Atletico Madrid has caught a great form, their defense has improved, and their offense is still producing a lot of chances.

City is undefeated in their last 7 games while winning of those 7 games. City is now on a 2-game winning streak during which they have scored 6 goals while conceding only 1. In the EPL standings, City is at the top of the table, but they have only 1 point more than Liverpool does, and it will be a battle until the end of the season. in the Champions League, City was pretty impressive in that first leg against Sporting, and they got the job done quickly. With 6 scored goals, Mahrez is the leading goalscorer for City in the Champions League, while Concelo has added 3 goals. Ruben Dias is the only injured player for City at the moment. I think that Manchester City is the biggest favorite to win the Champions League, but they will need to keep their defense at this level and keep their offense as efficient, if not more.

Atletico Madrid has been impressive lately, and they are now on a 6-game winning streak, while they haven’t lost any of their last 8 games. Thanks to this amazing run, Atletico has qualified for the Champions League quarterfinals, but they are also in 3rd place in LaLiga. Their defense is still not where it used to be over the last few seasons, but they have improved a lot compared to the start of the season. Atletico’s offense is also pretty solid with 57 scored goals in LaLiga. In the Champions League, Atletico hasn’t been scoring a lot, but Griezmann is their leading goalscorer with 4 goals and 2 assists. There aren’t any injuries in Atletico, but there are some questionable players. Overall, it looks like Atletico has finally got a grasp on their form, they are solid on both ends now, and their morale is pretty high, but we will see if they can keep it there against probably the best team in the world.

These two teams have never met in the past, but they are both in excellent form and that is a recipe for a good game. I think City will go for the win here because they are at home, and they should, but Atletico will try to defend. I think City comes out with their best lineup and a clear plan, and I see them getting a win.
