Manchester City vs. Brentford 11/12/22 EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Manchester City and Brentford face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Etihad Stadium. When these two teams faced off on February 9th it was Manchester City that secured the 2-0 victory. 

Manchester City currently sits in second place in the standings having picked up 32 points. Last Saturday, Manchester City were pushed by Fulham, but they were able to secure a 2-1 victory. In the 95th minute, it was Erling Haaland that netted the game-winner. Joao Cancelo did pick up a red card in the 26th minute and is now suspended for this game. On Wednesday in the EFL Cup, Manchester City was able to knock off Chelsea 2-0. Erling Haaland didn’t play in the midweek game, but it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game. Goalkeeper Ederson is also expected to move back into the starting lineup. Jack Grealish could also be moved back to the bench. 

Brentford currently sits in 11th place in the EPL having picked up 16 points. Last Saturday against Nottingham Forest, Brentford scored two goals and that was enough to secure the victory. Brentford gave up a goal in the 96th minute, or they would have secured the victory. Brentford had 53 percent of the possession, but only two shots on goal. Pontus Jansson, Aaron Hickey, Thomas Strakosha, Kristoffer Ajer, Charlie Goode, Vitaly Janelt, and Shandon Baptiste have all been ruled out for this game already. In this game, Brentford is going to need the defense to be good, or this will be a long game. 

Brentford only had two shots on goal in their last Premier League game, and they aren’t going to be much of an offensive threat here.
