Manchester United vs. Omonoia 10/13/22 UEFA Europa League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

Manchester United and Omonoia face off on Thursday in a Group E UEFA Europa League soccer showdown at Old Trafford. 

When these two teams faced off last year, it was Manchester United that secured the 3-2 victory. Karim Ansarifard opened the scoring for Omonoia in the 34th minute. Manchester United in the second half had some success, including two goals by Marcus Rashford in the 53rd and 84th minutes. Anthony Martial also scored a goal for Man U in the 63rd minute. Omonoia had four shots on target, while Manchester United had eight shots on target. 

Manchester United comes into this game sitting in second place in the standings having picked up six points. Last Saturday, Manchester United faced off against Everton, and they were able to secure the 2-1 victory. Antony scored in the 15th minute, while Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 44th minute. Manchester United had 61 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Donny van de Beek are all still dealing with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is Omonoia who sit in 4th place in the standings having picked up zero points.  On Monday, they faced off against AEL, and they couldn’t get any offense going as they were defeated 1-0. Brandon Barker got the start last Thursday against Manchester United, but he didn’t play over the weekend, and it’s unclear if he is going to get the start in this game. Loizos Loizou and Fotis Papoulis both played this weekend and should get the start again here. 

Omonoia is expected to be without their starting goalkeeper in this game, and that is going to be a big issue for them here. I also don’t expect Manchester United’s defense to be as bad here, and this is going to be an easy win for Manchester United. Back Manchester United -1.5 to cash here.
