PSG vs. Troyes 5/8/22 Ligue 1 Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

PSG is hosting Troyes at Parc des Princes in round 36 of the French Ligue 1. PSG has won the title a while ago, and all they are playing for right now is fun, but not winning is not fun. Troyes has won their last game, and that has probably saved them this season, but theoretically, they could still get relegated.

PSG is undefeated in their last 6 games, but they haven’t won any of their last 2 games. Luckily for PSG, they have already secured the title, so they don’t need to worry about anything. PSG has had its ups and downs this season, quite a few of them, but they have still won the title. PSG has one big thing to take off as soon as possible, and that is to get Mbappe to sign a new contract. Mbappe has been the best player for PSG this season with 24 goals and 15 assists, while Neymar has added 11 goals. Messi has added 13 assists. Defensively, PSG is solid, at least overall, but they have conceded a bunch of goals in wrong games, and that has cost them the Champions League, but maybe now they will change their ways.

As I’ve mentioned, Troyes is still in danger of being relegated, but they are in a good position right now. In their last game against Lille, Troyes was the home team, and they won that game 3-0. In the attacking end, Troyes is not scoring a lot of goals, only 33 goals in 35 games so far this season, while their defense has been decent with 47 conceded goals. During their 4-game streak without a win, Troyes has scored only 1 goal, while they have conceded 5 goals in those 4 games. Chavalerin is the leading goalscorer for Troyes with 5 goals, while Ugbo has added 4 goals. Dingome has added 5 assists. The injury list is a bit long for Troyes, and I hope that won’t affect their plan to stay in the league. This is going to be a hard game for Troyes, but they have scored against PSG in the reverse fixture, and they can do it again here.

PSG has lost o Troyes only twice in the past, while they haven’t lost against them in their last 11 games. PSG is the better team here, there is no question about that, and they are still undefeated at home this season. I know PSG has nothing to play for here, but they would certainly want to win all of their games until the end.
