Rangers vs. Borussia Dortmund 2/24/22 UEFA Europa League Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Rangers and Borussia Dortmund face off on Thursday in the second leg of their Group of 16 Europa League showdown at Ibrox Stadium. 

When these two teams faced off last Thursday it was the Rangers that were able to win 4-2. The first goal was by James Tavernier and all goals were scored between the 38th and 54th minute. Dortmund scored goals in the 51st and 82 minute. The Rangers only had 35 percent of the possession and five shots on target, but four went in the back of the net. The Rangers scored four goals on the road and are in very good shape to advance to the quarterfinals. 

The Rangers have won three of their last four games, and the other game was a draw in their last game. Against Dundee United, the Rangers fell behind, but Joe Aribo scored a goal in the 76th minute to secure a draw. The Rangers have scored 56 goals in the Scottish Premiership while they have given up 22 goals. Alfredo Morelos has been the best player for the Rangers scoring 11 goals and adding five assists. 

On the other side of this matchup is Borussia Dortmund who have their work cut out for them in this game. On Sunday, Dortmund faced off with Monchenglabach and the offense was elite scoring six goals on the way to the victory. Marco Rues started the scoring in the 21st minute and added another goal in the 81st minute. Dortmund has scored 63 goals in the Bundesliga while their defense has given up 36 goals. Erling Haaland has been the top player for Dortmund scoring 16 goals and six assists. In this game, Dortmund is going to need to push numbers forward, and take chances to get the scoring. 

I don’t think Dortmund is going to advance but they are going to come away with a victory in this game. I expect Dortmund is going to score at least a goal and they are going to get the job done. Back Dortmund on the money line.
