Real Madrid is welcoming Chelsea to Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. Real Madrid is in excellent form, their defense is pretty solid right now, and they have huge advantage from the first leg. Chelsea has had a nice win in the EPL this past weekend, they have kept the clean sheet, and their offense has produced a lot of chances.

Real Madrid is now on a 3-game winning streak, they have scored 7 goals in those 3 games, and they have lost only 1 of their last 9 games. In LaLiga, Real Madrid is still at the top of the table with 72 points, they are the best offensive team in the league with 63 scored goals, and they have conceded only 26 goals. Real Madrid was also able to transfer their good form into the Champions League, and Benzema has been outstanding for them. Benzema has scored 11 goals so far in the Champions League, and for as long as they have him, they will be ok. Vinicius Junior has added 2 goals and 5 assists. Hazard and Vallejo are injured, while Militao is suspended because of the yellow cards. Even though they have a big advantage here, Real Madrid must stay focused because Chelsea could come back.

As I’ve mentioned, Chelsea has had a nice win, which could be a breakout win for them. Chelsea has beaten Southampton 0-6 on the road this past weekend, and hopefully, that means they will play better in the Champions League as well. Chelsea has conceded 3 goals in the first leg, and at least 2 of those were from their mistakes, which hopefully they have worked on. Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are now the leading goalscorers for Chelsea with 3 goals each. There aren’t any notable injuries in Chelsea at the moment. Chelsea is a great team, they have a great coach, and they will definitely not give up on their spot in the semifinals, but they will need to score fast in this game. The longer it takes for Chelsea to score, the harder it will be for them, but that win against Southampton will certainly have a positive effect on the team, the fans, and everyone else in the club.

I think this will be a fairly open game because Chelsea has to attack, and that could leave them open to counterattacks. Real is playing well, but if they decide to focus on defense, they will lose. I’m taking goals in this one.
