Valencia and Barcelona are clashing at Mestalla in round 25 of the Spanish LaLiga. Valencia is a great team this season, they have had their ups and downs, but overall, it’s a great season for them. Barcelona was able to get a positive result against Napoli in the Europa League, but they need to keep playing well, and they need to keep winning points if they want to qualify for the Champions League.

Valencia has only 1 loss in their last 4 games, but they also have only 1 win in those 4 games. Offensively, Valencia has been outstanding with 36 scored goals so far, but their defense is one of the worst in the league with 38 conceded goals in 24 games. Unfortunately for Valencia, they lost in their last game to Alaves, but they did play well. Valencia is in 12th place with 30 points so far this season, and they are pretty far away from the Europa League, but they are also far away from the relegation zone. Guedes is the leading goalscorer for Valencia with 9 goals, while Soler has added 7 goals. Guedes has also added 5 assists. I like Valencia, I think they have a good team that has room to grow and improve, and I think they will do it.

Barcelona has been playing well, but they are still not as effective in the attacking end as they should be. In their last 2 games, Barcelona has 2 draws, but the good news is they are undefeated in their last 4 games. Of those 4 games, Barcelona has kept only 1 clean sheet, and that is simply not good enough. With 39 points, 38 scored goals, and 27 conceded goals, Barcelona is in 6th place in the LaLiga standings. I mentioned the Europa League where Barcelona was playing against Napoli earlier this week, and honestly, they deserved more than a 1-1 draw, but that is better than losing the game I suppose. Depay has 8 goals while Alba has 5 assists for Barcelona, but Depay is now injured, and he will miss this game. The injury list is once again long for Barcelona, and Umtiti, Roberto, Fati, Lenglet, and Balde are all on it. Alves and Pique are both suspended because of the red cards. Because of the fact they played a game in the Europa League earlier this week, Barcelona might be a bit tired here, but we can never count them out.

Valencia has been pretty solid at home this season, but I will avoid betting on the winner here. I will stick to goals, and I think we will see a few of them here, on both sides.
