Brentford and Liverpool face off on Monday in an English Premier League showdown at the GTech Community Stadium.

Liverpool currently sits in sixth place in the standings, having picked up 28 points. On Friday, against Leicester City, Liverpool was able to secure a 2-1 victory. Liverpool actually fell behind in the 4th minute. Wout Faes scored two goals in the 38th and 45th minutes and that was enough to secure the victory. Liverpool had 57 percent of the possession and five shots on target. Harvey Elliott and Andrew Robertson had to leave the last game because of injury, and it’s unclear if they are going to be able to go in this game. Fabinho missed Friday’s game for personal reasons, but it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Brentford who sits in 10th place in the standings having picked up 23 points. On Friday, Brentford faced off against West Ham, and they were able to secure the 2-0 victory. Ivan Toney scored in the 18th minute and Josh Dasilva scored in the 43rd minute. Brentford only had 36 percent of the possession, but they had six shots on target and were the team to score two goals. Ivan Toney got hurt in the last game, but it looks like he avoided a big injury. Even though he might not be long term, it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to play earlier. Kristoffer Ajer, Shandon Baptiste and Aaron Hickey are all dealing with injuries right now and aren’t going to be able to go in this game.

Liverpool’s defense isn’t exactly elite, and they are going to give up a goal or two here. I do expect Liverpool’s offense to score at least two goals here, though, and this game is going to be a shootout. This game is going to be a 2-1 or 2-2 type of game and the over 2.5 goals is going to cash.
