Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth face off on Tuesday in an English Premier League showdown at Old Trafford. When these two teams faced off in 2020 it was Man United that secured the 5-2 victory. 

Manchester United currently sits in 4th place in the standings, having picked up 32 points. Manchester United faced off against the Wolves on Saturday, and they were able to secure a 1-0 victory. Manchester United had 55 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Marcus Rashford scored in the 76th minute to secure the victory. Lisandro Martínez is back from the World Cup and could move back into the starting lineup in this game. Diogo Dalot is still dealing with a hamstring injury, and he will be out for at least a while longer. Harry Maguire came off the bench in the last game, and it looks like that’s where he will have to come off this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is AFC Bournemouth, who sits in 15th place in the standings having picked up 16 points. On Saturday, against Crystal Palace, they were defeated 2-0. They had 59 percent of the possession, but they only managed two shots on target. Philip Billing had to leave the last game with a hip injury, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go in this game. Neto looks like he should be back from injury soon, but it’s not expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game. 

This game is going to be lower scoring. Manchester United’s defense is going to lockdown again in this game, and AFC Bournemouth isn’t going to get on the board. I don’t think Manchester United is going to run up the score either though, and at a max, they are going to score two goals. Back the under.
