AC Milan vs. Inter 3/1/22 Coppa Italia Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

AC Milan and Inter are clashing at San Siro in the Coppa Italia semifinals. Milan hasn’t lost a game in a while, but they also haven’t won any of their last 2 games, and they are struggling with scoring goals. Inter is in a bit of a slump right now, they are also struggling, and they are playing in the Champions League next week.

Milan is now in 2^nd place in Serie A with 57 points, which is the same as Napoli at the top, but Napoli has a better goal difference. As I’ve mentioned, Milan is struggling with scoring goals, and they have scored only 4 goals in their last 3 games, while they have also conceded 3 goals. In the previous round in Coppa Italia, Milan has destroyed Lazio at home, but this round is being played in 2 legs. Kjaer and Ibrahimovic are injured, while the rest of the team is available. Milan has a bit of an advantage here because they are in better form, but I don’t think Inter will just give up. Milan also doesn’t have to play in the Champions League next week, which means they don’t need to rest their players.

Inter hasn’t won any of their last 4 games, while winning only 1 of their last 6, but the worse thing is they haven’t scored a single goal in their last 3 games, and for the best offensive team in the league, that is unacceptable. Inter is now in 3^rd place in the Serie A standings, but they are only 2 points behind Milan and Napoli. Gosens and Correa are the only two injured players for Inter. As I’ve mentioned, Inter is playing in the Champions League next week, but they are also playing in Serie A on Friday, and that is only 3 days after this game, and Inter can’t lose in that one. Every team is expected to go through a slump like this, but great teams bounce back after a game or two, which Inter can’t do right now. Let’s not forget, Inter is a team with a lot of talent, they are a good mix of youth and experience, but unfortunately for them, it’s not working out right now. This is the home field for Inter as well, and it’s a big game, which makes me think they are not going to rest any players here, and I think they will go for the win.

This is one of the biggest derbies in Italy, Derby della Madonnina, and they are always eventful. I would give a slight advantage to Milan because they are in better form and their schedule is not so cramped up, but I will stick to goals because I think both teams will go for it here.
