Leeds United and AFC Bournemouth face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Elland Road. When these two teams faced off in 2015 it was Leeds United that secured the 1-0 victory.
AFC Bournemouth comes into this game sitting in 14th place in the standings having picked up 13 points. AFC Bournemouth has lost three games in a row and over the last three games, they have only scored two goals. In the last game against Tottenham, they were defeated 3-2. Kieffer Moore scored in the 22nd and 49th minute for Bournemouth. Bournemouth has had 30 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Starting goalkeeper Neto is dealing with a thigh injury and will be out for a while. Mark Travers is expected to move into the starting lineup in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is Leeds United, who sits in 15th place in the group having picked up 12 points. Leeds United’s last game came against Liverpool, and they were able to secure a 2-1 victory. Rodrigo Moreno opened up the scoring in the 4th minute, and it was another goal in the 89th minute that secured the victory. Leeds United had only 31 percent of the possession and six shots on target. Luis Sinisterra is dealing with a foot injury and is going to be out later than the World Cup. Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, and Archie Gray are all dealing with injuries and will be out for this game.
I really don’t trust either of these defenses, and I expect there to be plenty of goal-scoring in this game. Travers is going to have some issues for Bournemouth, and Leeds United will score two or three goals. Leeds will also score a couple of goals and the over is going to cash. Back the over 3.5 goals.
