Leeds United and Aston Villa face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Elland Road. When these two teams faced off on March 10th, it was Aston Villa that secured the 3-0 victory.
Aston Villa currently sits in 16th place in the standings, having picked up seven points. Aston Villa’s last game came against Southampton on September 16th, and they were able to secure the 1-0 victory. Jacob Ramsey scored the goal in the 41st minute to secure the 1-0 victory. They had 53 percent of the possession and three shots on target in the game. Boubacar Kamara is dealing with a knee injury, and he’s not going to be able to go in this game. Diego Carlos is still dealing with a long-term injury and without him there are a ton of questions. There have to be some major concerns about the defense heading into this game.
On the other side of this matchup is Leeds United, who sits in 13th place in the standings having picked up eight points. Leeds United’s last game came on September 3rd against Brentford, and the defense really struggled in that game. Leeds did have 69 percent of the possession, but they allowed eight shots on target and that led to the defeat. Rasmus Kristensen missed the last game because of injury, but he is expected to be able to go in this game. Rodrigo was dealing with a separated shoulder, but he is also expected to be able to go in this game. In this game, if Leeds Wants to get the job done, they are going to need the offense to get the first goal.
With the injuries, I expect Aston Villa’s defense is going to be an issue, and that is going to be the difference here. Leeds United is going to score two or three goals and that will be the difference as Leeds is going to get the job done. This is one of my favorite plays on the weekend. Back Leeds United on the money line.
