Leicester is hosting Leeds at King Power Stadium in round 28 of the English Premier League. Leicester has finally gotten a win, and it was a great win on the road against Burnley. Leeds has been on a bad streak, they have been playing poorly, and the result of that was a coaching change.
Leicester is now far away from where they want to be, and they are in low 12th place with only 30 points, but they are still playing in the Conference League, which could get them into the Europa League if they win it. The biggest boost for Leicester in that win against Burnley was the return of Jamie Vardy, and if he stays healthy, Leicester might get some consistency. Vardy is now the leading goalscorer for Leicester with 10 goals, while Maddison added 7 goals. Barnes has added 6 assists. There are still injured players in Leicesters, and Evens, Bertrand, Fofana, and Castagne are all on the injury list. I think that win against Burnley might just get Leicester on the right track, but now it’s time to prove it.
Leeds hasn’t won any of their last 6 games while losing 5 of those 6 games. The good news for Leeds I guess is they have lost to Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham, but the bad news is they would have lost to weaker teams as well. As I’ve mentioned, Leeds has made the coaching change, and their new head coach is Jesse Marsch, former RB Leipzig’s coach. Leeds is above the relegation zone, but only because there are a lot of teams in bad form in the EPL this season. with 60 conceded goals, Leeds is the worst defensive team in the league, while with 29 scored goals, they are also one of the weakest offensive teams. Leeds also has quite a few injuries, and Cooper, Philips, Bamford, Greenwood, and Llorente are all on the injury list. Raphinha is the leading goalscorer for Leeds with 9 goals. This coaching change might have a positive impact on the team, but it also might take them a little while to get used to the new ideas, but I think brighter days are ahead for Leeds.
Despite barely winning any games in the EPL lately, Leicester is in better form right now, and that win might boost their confidence. As I’ve mentioned, Leeds might play better in this game, but I don’t think they can get a win. I see goals in this game.
