Leverkusen vs. Club Brugge  11/1/22 UEFA Champions League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

Leverkusen and Club Brugge face off on Tuesday in a Group B UEFA Champions League showdown at BayArena.

When these two teams faced off on September 7th it was Club Brugge that secured the 1-0 victory. The only score for Club Brugge came in the 42nd minute, and that was the difference maker. Leverkusen had 53 percent of the possession, while Club Brugge had 47 percent. Both teams finished with three shots on goal.

Leverkusen comes into this game sitting in 4th place in the group, having picked up four points. Last Wednesday, they faced off against Atlético Madrid, and that game ended in a 2-2 draw. Both goals were scored in the first 29 minutes. They only had 36 percent of the possession and seven shots on target. On Saturday, they faced off against RB Leipzig, and they were defeated 2-0. Piero Hincapie picked up a red card in the last game, and he will be suspended for this match. In this game, Leverkusen is going to need the defense to be good, as they have been a bit shaky this season.

Club Brugge comes into this game sitting in 1st place in the group having picked up 10 points. Last Wednesday they faced off against FC Porto, and they were defeated 4-0. They gave up four goals after the 33rd minute and that led to the defeat. On Saturday they faced off against Oostende and Club Brugge were able to secure a 4-2 victory. Denis Odoi, Raphael Onyedika, and Abakar Sylla all picked up yellow cards in the last game, and they will be suspended for this game.

Leverkusen’s last Champions League game ended in a 2-2 draw, and I expect the same type of game here. Club Brugge is going to push the numbers forward, but their defense is also going to struggle here, and this game is going to be a high-scoring affair. Back the over 3.5 goals to cash.
