Liverpool vs. Wolverhampton 5/22/22 EPL Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Liverpool is welcoming Wolverhampton to Anfield in round 38 of the English Premier League. Liverpool needs a win here, and they need City not to win in their game to win the title this season. Wolverhampton’s season is done, they have nothing left to play for, and honestly, they don’t deserve it with the offense they have.

Liverpool is 2 points behind Manchester City in the standings, which means they need to win in this game, and City has to lose in theirs. Liverpool has scored an outstanding 91 goals so far this season, but weirdly enough, that is not the most in the EPL this season. Defensively, Liverpool has been solid with 25 conceded goals in 37 games. Liverpool also has a pretty big game in the Champions League next week where they will face Real Madrid in the Champions League finals. Once again Salah has been the best player for Liverpool with 22 goals and 13 assists, while Alexander-Arnold added 12 assists. Mane and Jota both have 15 goals. There aren’t any injuries in Liverpool as of right now, and they have been spared of them this season, but Salah, Van Dijk, Gomez, and Fabinho are all questionable. Liverpool deserves the title, but so does City, and it will be a battle until the very end of the season.

Wolves are not without a win in their last 6 games, and they couldn’t even beat Norwich in their current form. Wolverhampton was close to the Conference League spot, but they have scored only 37 goals this season, which is simply not enough to do that. Their defense on the other hand has been really good with 40 conceded goals in 37 games. At the moment, Wolverhampton has a few injuries, but even if they didn’t, their game stay wouldn’t change which is a shame because Wolverhampton is a solid team with a lot of talent. With only 6 goals and 4 assists. Jimenez is the leading goalscorer for Wolverhampton this season. Wolverhampton has to play more offensive football next season, and only that way they will get to Europe, which is something they definitely want.

Wolves haven’t won any of their last 6 games against Liverpool, while Liverpool hasn’t lost any of their last 3 home games to Wolverhampton. Liverpool has a lot to lose here, and even if they win, they might not win the title, but they can control only their own game. I’m taking Liverpool and goals.
